1. Introduction

IdeaDose ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website ideadose.dev (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (Google, GitHub), we receive your profile information from that provider.

2.2 Idea Submissions

When you submit a startup idea for evaluation, we collect the idea title, description, and any additional details you provide. This data is processed by our AI evaluation pipeline to generate your results.

2.3 Payment and Subscription Information

Credit pack purchases and the IdeaDose Ledger subscription are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your full credit card number or other full payment details. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing and provides us only with transaction confirmations, order identifiers, and subscription lifecycle information.

For subscriptions, this includes:

• Your subscription ID and Lemon Squeezy customer and order IDs
• The plan you are subscribed to
• Your subscription status (for example, active, past due, cancelled, or expired)
• Your next renewal date, the date your access ends if cancelled, and trial-end date, where applicable
• Card metadata limited to card brand and the last four digits only — never your full card number

We also keep a record of billing-related webhook events sent to us by Lemon Squeezy (such as subscription created, renewed, cancelled, or payment failed). We use these records to keep your access accurate, to investigate billing issues or disputes, and to detect fraud.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you access the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and interactions with the Service. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for this purpose.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process your idea evaluations using AI analysis
• Process credit purchases and manage your account balance
• Manage your subscription, including processing renewals, cancellations, failed-payment recovery, and access changes
• Send you transactional emails (account verification, purchase receipts)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. AI Processing

Your submitted ideas are processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude API) to generate evaluations. The AI analyzes your idea against publicly available market data. We do not use your submitted ideas to train AI models. Your idea data is sent to AI providers solely for the purpose of generating your evaluation results.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service Providers: Supabase (hosting & database), Vercel (deployment), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), Google Analytics (analytics), Microsoft Clarity (analytics)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental regulation

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and evaluation results for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at kcdmlry@gmail.com.

Idea Data Lifecycle

When you submit an idea for evaluation, it is processed once through our AI pipeline to generate your verdict. The idea text and evaluation results are stored in your account for your reference.

When you delete your account, we immediately deactivate your login and remove your ideas, evaluation results, and profile from the app — they are no longer visible or accessible to you or through the Service.

Certain data may be retained beyond this period where required by law: payment transaction records (retained for tax/legal compliance for up to 7 years via our payment processor) and aggregated, anonymized usage statistics not linked to your identity.

Subscription and billing records

Subscription lifecycle records (such as your subscription status, renewal and cancellation dates, and card brand and last-four metadata) and the underlying billing webhook event records from Lemon Squeezy are not deleted along with the rest of your account data. We retain them for up to 7 years for tax, legal, and billing-dispute purposes, consistent with how we retain other payment transaction records described above. Card metadata never includes your full card number.

Cross-border transfer (Korean users)

If you are located in Korea, using a paid feature involves transferring your payment and subscription information described in Section 2.3 to Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor, which processes data outside Korea. This transfer is made solely for the purpose of processing your payment and managing your subscription, and the data is retained only as described above. You may object to this transfer by not subscribing to a paid feature, or by contacting us at kcdmlry@gmail.com to ask about the specific recipient and transfer details for your account.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager), and session recording (Microsoft Clarity). You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
